“We have loved North Norfolk”

We have loved North Nofolk. We came from London by train and bus - no problems. Easy to get around either by bus or even better by bike hire. The Norfolk Coast Cycleway gave us amazing rides off road or on minor roads. Cottage was great for us as had everything and we were able to cook.

“Just what we needed”

We’ve had a lovely week. Super beach days at Wells and Brancaster, damp days at Cromer and Hunstanton. Fab seal trip from Morston and the best crabbing at Blakeney. A great week and just what we needed.

Back again! This time with our grand daughter who absolutely love the bedroom in the attic. Last visit very relaxing, this visit packed with trips to the beach, pancakes on the Albatross, Brancaster Beach and a boat trip to the seals. We have had such a lovely visit and will take home lots of happy memories of our stay at your beautiful cottage. Thank you so very much.

We've had the most fantastic Bank Holiday weekend in this small but beautiful cottage.  Loved the location, a great base so close to town.  Enjoyed a brilliant time crabbing on the pier and the amazing beach.  Never been to Wells before but we will be back."

My second stay in the lovely, cosy Elgin Cottage, perfect for exploring the area.  Amazing walks along the coast path, an array of eating options on the doorstep (fish and chips at Plattens and The Globe highly recommended!) with a warm, cosy cottage to return to at the end of the day.  Thank you for the little touches - loved the postcards and the wine!  A much needed "time out" - hope to be back again.  Thank you so much.

We've had a lovely stay at Elgin Cottage.  great day at Pensthorpe with the ducks and playgrounds, yummy breakfast at Bang, walked to Holkham on the beach and back through the forest - saw a seal and swung on the rope swings!  Love Wells whatever time of year!  Thanks for having us.

Excellent week in this lovely cottage, excellent position in Wells. Ideal location for coast/inland exploration. Even parking was no problem thanks to the map!

“Perfect in every way”

We had a fantastic time in Wells. The thing that made it for us though was your delightful cottage - we absolutely loved it and didn’t want to leave. It is perfect in every way, including the location which was ideal for the shops, places to eat, harbour and beach. We had a good night’s sleep in the comfy beds. My friend had the double and I was at the top but I loved the room.

“A Fabulous week”

We have enjoyed a fabulous week at Elgin Cottage. We hadn’t realised until we arrived that it was carnival week. So close to everything going on at the Buttlands - an absolute bonus! We have enjoyed Alpaca trekking, Holkham Hall Estate (cycling and boating) and some wonderful beach days with the glorious weather - Wells, Holkham and Brancaster. Lovely cottage with everything we needed.

We had a very comfortable stay - excellent location in town. We ate very well at the Golden Fleece, Plattens and the Albatross. Took the Coasthopper to Holkham then walked back along the beach. Thank you.

"A wonderful home from home."

Thanks you for having us at your lovely, cosy cottage.  We have had a really lovely winter break, just what the doctor ordered!  A wondeful home from home in a perfect and pretty spot, just a stone's throw away from everything needed for a fab family holiday.  Thank you for the thoughtful touches - our little pirate loved sleeping on the third floor and was very excited to see the toys and books!  Wells has a lovely relaxed and friendly vibe and your cottage is a perfect bolt hole.  We're already talking about coming back!

Lovely stay in Elgin Cottage as always - the coldest walk ever on Holkham Beach - but justified a huge meal to warm up afterwards in The Globe.  We love that everything is on our doorstep here - which means there is plenty of time for exploring as well as cosying up in the cottage.

We have just enjoyed a wonderful week in Wells and have been very comfortable in Elgin Cottage. It suited us very well, so cosy and comfortable and convenient for the shops and beach.  Excellent fish and chip supper from French's on our last night.  Holt was a favourite for antique rummaging.  Lovely coastal walks and walk to Holkham Hall.  The latter was hairy until someone advised to walk on the left where there is a hidden path!  Altogether a most enjoyable and relaxing holiday in your lovely cottage.  Thank you Fiona . 

“Great base to explore Wells.”

Great base to explore Wells.  We made use of the games on our one wet day.  Loved days/trips out at Seals, Wells Beach, Holkham Beach, and of course crabbing on the quay.  Plattens won our prize for the best fish and chips!  Thanks for a wonderful week

“The location is perfect”

We had a wonderful week staying here and the cottage although small is perfectly formed and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay.  The location is perfect and really helped us to get to know Wells.  We walked, we cycled and enjoyed beach time and sightseeing.  Thanks again
